Bureau of Reclamation, as a part of the Solano Project. The dam is 9 miles west of Winters, and
provides drinking water to approximately 500,000 people, seven resorts located around the lake, and
irrigation water to farms in Solano County. The local Bureau of Reclamation office also draws on the
water for small public drinking water supplies (Bureau of Reclamation website).
